Evelyn Goldfinger

Founder and Director of Torahtron

Evelyn Goldfinger is an award-winning researcher, theater director, playwright, performer and educator.  Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Evelyn created Torahtron (El Toratrón), a professional Jewish Educational Theatre ensemble that has engaged over 10,000 spectators, with the support and recognition of organizations such as ROI, Presentense, AMIA and the Embassy of Israel in Argentina. 

She holds a YU certification in Experimental Jewish Education and runs Torahtron engaging children and adults through shows, workshops and classes. 

Evelyn serves as the Cantorial Soloist at Beth Torah synagogue of North Miami, where she leads Friday night prayer as well as family and High Holidays family services and Shabbat Bam! Saturday morning experiential prayer. 

Evelyn is the recipient of the prestigious Juan Cervera Award from ASSITEJ Spain given to research in theatre for children and she has been invited to present her work as a researcher in several congresses and forums throughout the world. She served as the Jewish Educational Theatre Director at the MAR-JCC. 

She is the co-founder and emeritus director of a charitable theater company called Late, which performs for underprivileged children at Hillel Argentina since 2003.
